Simple Ways to Develop Fine and Gross Motor Skills

1. Colour and draw on a chalkboard, easel, paper taped to the wall or underside of the table to strengthen shouldersmotorskills and arms.
2. Play on the floor, lying on the tummy, to strengthen the shoulders and core. 
3. Play with lego, nuts and bolts, dress up clothes, playdough, and blocks to develop strength in hands and fingers.
5. Play outside to develop strength and awareness of the body.
6. Play hopscotch, Simon Says, obstacle courses, and animal walks to develop balance and control.
7. Play with beads and pipe cleaners, arts and crafts, scissors, clothespins, and tweezers to develop hand-eye coordination.
