Think Agriculture is a special chance for students to learn about the different jobs they can have in the agriculture industry. When you take part in this program, you can: *Meet and work with experts in the industry who can become essential career guides. *Get hands-on experience in areas like selling, servicing, finding parts, and using advanced technology in agriculture. *Explore lots of different kinds of jobs in agriculture and solve problems related to them. *Learn about possible career paths, and maybe even earn high school credits or join industry programs. Staff participated in an Indigenous Education Responsibility Framework Continuum Activity for the September 30th PD Day. The intent of this activity was to facilitate discussion about the IERF continuum and its application in school decision making.
Robert Charlton, the Westview School Gr. 2/3 teacher started the Bike Bus in May of last school year. It has been a huge success! Staff, students, parents and even the Estevan City Police have joined in!
A big thank you to Michael's Coffee and Bakery of Estevan for all of their hospitality as the Hillcrest Grade 7/8 class received a lesson on the science of coffee, the math of running a small business, and the art of a successful job interview. They also received free cookies! What a great day!
